More detailsAmong other things, this is a chance for all those people who complain about "long haired eco-warriors" to put their money up to see one transformed into a short haired environmental campaigner...Eoin Ó Broin, noted environmental and political activist, and one of the founder members of the Shell to Sea campaign, has offered to cut off his dreadlocks to raise money for the Rossport Solidarity Camp. At the moment his dreads are right down his back, and represent "about six years" growth. His target is to raise at least 2,000 euro in total by July 29th, when he has agreed to have a haircut in public, at the top of Grafton Street in Dublin.Eoin also wants to raise awareness of the walk from Mayo to Dublin being undertaken by members of the Rossport community, starting on that date. All money raised will go towards the fight against Shell and the current Irish government. The Shell to Sea Campaign represents the efforts of the people of Ireland to stop the installation of a dangerous experimental pipeline and the building of a huge gas refinery near Rossport County Mayo, and the desire of the Irish people to get a fair deal from the exploitation of their natural resources.More information from
