Norwegian MP comments on Corrib plans

A Norwegian MP who is tipped to become the country's next Oil and Energy Minister has said that Statoil would not have developed the Corrib gas field in the same manner if it were a Norwegian gas field.
Tore Nordtun was speaking to an Irish delegation which has travelled to Norway in an attempt to pressure Statoil into altering its plans to process the gas.
The Norwegian state-owned oil company has a 36% share in the Corrib gas field, which is located off the West coast.
