Shell to Sea Statement - Feb 13th

Shell to Sea StatementFebruary 13th, 2007The Shell to Sea campaign will hold a ‘Solidarity Day’ next Friday, February 16th. This is to permit people throughout Ireland to show their support for the communities of Rossport and Bellanaboy in their campaign against Shell, Statoil and Marathon’s proposed refinery and pipeline complex. The day forms part of our wide-ranging and growing campaign. The Solidarity Day will involve an entirely peaceful, carnival-like, non-confrontational march from Glenamoy Bridge, which is approx 2 kms east of the refinery main entrance. Musicians are especially welcome. Stewards will be on duty to facilitate the good humour of the event. Afterwards there will be refreshments in Healy’s Tavern where documentary films will be shown. For comment contact Mary Corduff 086-3961847 or PJ Moran 086-2459515.For verification contact Mark Garavan 087-9023687
