Rathlin Island Festival - Jigs & Rigs - 29-31st July

Festival on Rathlin Island - 29th to 31st July

To help us continue the festival we have had to bring in a set ticket price

This price is set low as it can be just to meet costs, any profits will be donated to the Shell to Sea Campaign in Mayo.

The name is derived from what we deem to be the maximum operable wind speed for an outdoor party in Ireland, & sure we've had to deal with a fair few of them over the years.

The Force10 Crew were forged together originally in 1998 along with a whole host of our friends too numerous to mention by name but you all know who you are!

Our main objective is to provide people with an experience and chance to gather away from the restrictive commercial norm. One that will leave little or no trace of our activities & have a positive environmental impact with our events. We choose unique locations for our gatherings this is essential. Our musical ideals respect and encourage fresh and innovating sounds from new producers, dj's, musicians and labels. No one particular sound dominates or defines our parties, where you will hear everything from techno, electro, breaks, dub Step, latin tinged carnival grooves, hip hop, drum 'n' bass, dub & reggae, along with the odd trad session & live band.

Our parties are funded by the people who enjoy them, we have no commercial links or ties. Even though we are a non-profit/commercial collective, the production and attention to detail at our events is second to none. Featuring our own hand built sound system, along with the best lighting and visuals available, and, most importantly, the belief that it's the wonderfully diverse & creative people who come party with us, is the secret ingredient that makes the party special. Everyone's a participant, spectating is not encouraged!

All Burners / Healers / Drummers / Fire performers / Make up and visual artists along with Carnival/Circus folk are welcome at our gatherings.

Thanks for visiting us here in this virtual space, hopefully you will now come and join with us in the celebration of dancing from dusk 'til dawn under the moon & stars, earth under our feet, out there in "reality"....
