April 11th Court Hearings and Action

Four members of the camp were up in court yesterday in Belmullet to face protest related charges. One case received a mention and was put back to next month and the other three all received probation, and so don’t have a criminal record or any fines to pay.

Another member of the camp climbed up onto a truck later in the day to stop a convoy travelling through the small village of Pullathomas. She climbed down and was then arrested and taken to Belmullet Garda station, where she was held for a couple of hours, cautioned, and released without charge.
